In1970, our two biggest developers got together to plan a new tall but cozy brick building on the fIrst street N. of Harvard's grad. schools. They retained an architect from Italy, noted for his ability to create strong 'senses of community'. He designed a big swimming pool adjoining a huge wooden deck for flowers & outdoor furniture, opening (at the back of the building) into to a huge room inside for exercise, conferences & parties...with 2 bathrooms adjoining! Near there, he put an unusually-big laundry room & an alcove for recessed mailboxes. At the front of that floor, near the front door, he built a huge GLASS-WALLED room, for residents to sit, read, or greet guests coming to the front door, Unit 3B is SPACIOUS, with 12 large casement windows & 11 enormous bookcases! All the windows are or about to become updated Andersen & Marvin windows. There are 3 ramps to the front door or garage, so you can grow old here without EVER having to climb any stairs!
